Meet our Conductors
CLS has two very talented conductors called Stephen and Michael. They lead our musicians through our concerts and take charge of the music.
Stephen has worked with singers for many years and has conducted choirs and orchestras in the UK and around the world. He has also worked with opera singers. Stephen is a big fan of new music, and has performed brand new pieces many times. He has conducted City of London Sinfonia in a lot of different places, including at the world famous BBC Proms at the Royal Albert Hall and in Colombia.
Michael plays the clarinet and has spent many years performing as a soloist. Now he is also a conductor in the UK and many other countries. He often likes to do some playing and some conducting within the same concert! Michael has played at the Last Night of the Proms and has also made CDs with City of London Sinfonia and other orchestras.
