Soloist Bartholomew LaFollette is a gifted young cellist and winner of many prestigious music prizes who is fast building a reputation as a recitalist and chamber musician. Together with CLS, he plays pieces including Anton Arensky's set of seven Variations on a Theme by Tchaikovsky which was written as a tribute to the great nineteenth century Russian master. We end the evening with Tchaikovsky's ever-popular Serenade for Strings.
