CLS is launching a brand new concert series CLoSer, offering audiences bitesize concerts and the opportunity to get closer to one of London's leading orchestras.
Devised in partnership with Spitalfields Music, CLoSer is a short, informal concert experience, designed to appeal to those who like their live music experiences to be intimate and relaxed (and who enjoy a glass of wine while listening!)
Each concert has a specific musical focus with guest artists this series including Mercury Prize nominee Gwilym Simcock, the Holst Singers and Clark Rundell, as well as CLS Principal Conductors Stephen Layton and Michael Collins.
While short in length, the concerts still present audiences with challenging and interesting repertoire with 'talking' programme notes throughout the performance. For those who wish to linger post concert, there is Encore entertainment and the chance to mingle with CLS musicians too.
CLoSer 's home for the first series is Shoreditch's Village Underground.
Tickets are £15 (includes a free drink) and available on 020 7377 1362 or online via Spitalfields Music box office.
