Trusts and Foundations Manager

City of London Sinfonia seeks an outstanding and innovative development professional to help us drive our strong and ambitious artistic projects and plans, building on recent success in generating increased philanthropic investment.

In the last two years, City of London Sinfonia (CLS)  has enjoyed considerable success for its expanded artistic and education programme and new programming model, where all our performances and projects are placed in a wider cultural context – through subject matter, cross-arts collaborations, venue or setting – to attract and engage those both new to classical music and traditional audiences.


CLS has also recently generated increased philanthropic investment, as a result of both the success of the Orchestra’s expanded education projects and new artistic programming model, and the expansion of CLS’s development resource with particular strengths in generating income from trust/foundations and statutory sources, and a number of nascent relationships with individuals and corporate supporters – who are excited by our strong, clearly differentiated artistic product and ambitious plans for growth


We are now seeking to further expand this development resource through the new role of Trusts and Foundations Manager. Working alongside our recently appointed Philanthropy and Enterprise Manager, and supported by the Chief Executive and Board of Trustees, these roles represent a new and expanded structure for CLS’s development resource.


We are seeking to appoint an individual with a creative mind, who will build partnerships with charitable trusts and foundations, and statutory bodies with a view to creating long-term, innovative investment relationships. We encourage all members of the organisation to contribute creative ideas and this role will be expected to play a leading role in this creative process, particularly as regards our education programme.


We welcome applications from candidates seeking full-time positions, and those seeking a flexible model of working around personal or family commitments (particularly from candidates with extensive experience).  Salary is dependent on experience and working model but we envisage a salary-range of £25,000-35,000.
