City of London Sinfonia
£22.5k-27.5k Full time
City of London Sinfonia (CLS) is inviting applications for the post of Performances (Concerts) Manager.
City of London Sinfonia is the Orchestra that promises to surprise and move you. We are a national charity that involves people of all ages and backgrounds in life-enhancing music experiences to create an exciting and harmonious future.
We have enjoyed considerable recent success in developing and growing its performance schedule, encompassing groundbreaking projects such as our CLoSer series at Village Underground in Shoreditch, appearances at major UK festivals, UK touring projects and concert performances as part of our Meet the Music education strand. Projects for 2015-17 include international touring, two major recordings, and an extensive tour of UK Cathedrals in 2016. The Orchestra has a sector-leading education and community programme, Meet the Music, with over 10,000 participants a year involving performances for very young children (aged 3-7) and concerts produced and programmed by young teenagers across the UK.
The Performances Manager is responsible for the on-site management of CLS concert performances, including some Meet the Music performances.
We are seeking an outstanding individual with exceptional organisational and project management skills, who understands how to create the conditions under which CLS musicians can give of their best, can be CLS's ambassador in concert halls in the UK and abroad, and who shares our ethos towards bringing audiences closer to our performances through innovative programmes and concert formats, and other channels including social media.
