Social responsibility

City of London Sinfonia’s Meet the Music education and outreach programme has brought music into the wider community for over twenty years. We achieve this work with the support of our business partners, together with that of trusts and foundations. Recent ventures include building links between local schools from the state and private sector and music workshops within a London prison aimed at developing prisoners’ self- confidence and presentation skills. Internationally CLS mentors young musicians in Colombia and has worked with student musicians in China.

In partnership with Great Ormond Street Hospital, our long-running programme Music for Children enhances the quality of life of its young patients through musical activity and workshops. These provide much-needed release from the strain of medical treatments for young patients while engaging the children in creative and educational activity.

We seek corporate partners for our existing work and welcome the opportunity to develop bespoke programmes to help you meet your company’s Corporate Social Responsibility goals. Set us your challenge, involve your staff as volunteers and see our music produce results.

“You are the best musicians in the world. Thank you so much for coming. My favourite day is when you come to the school.”
