Three outstanding soloists perform alongside the City of London Sinfonia in this fantastic concert which includes Rossini's String Sonata (written when the composer was only 12 years old) and one of Mozart's best-loved symphonies, often referred to as the 'Great G minor Symphony'. Noriko Ogawa and Nicholas Betts perform in Shostakovich's uproarious Concerto in C minor for Piano, Trumpet, and String Orchestra, and our Principal Conductor Michael Collins appears as the soloist in Weber's wonderful Clarinet Quintet, arranged here for strings.
