About Development through Music
|
City of London Sinfonia's 'Development through Music' scheme is a creative approach to corporate training, which draws on the parallels between a professional orchestra and a business team achieving peak performance. Using musical activities to model successful leadership and team practices, CLS musicians provide a memorable experience with direct applications to today's workplace.

"Probably the best team-based activity I have ever been involved in."
RBS conference, March 2004
CLS Development through Music has helped organisations such as Barclays, LexisNexis and the National Senior Policewomen Officers' Association to:
- bring their mission, vision and values to life
- cope effectively with change
- develop effective teams
- enhance communication and presentation skills
- improve their leadership skills
"CLS bring a unique dimension to learning and development ... their workshops provide practical advice in an informative and fun way. We truly value our relationship and the contribution that they make to our programmes."
Leadership Consultant, The Campaign for Leadership
Each unique programme is created in consultation with our client organisation, and is designed to provide ample time to disseminate and reinforce participants' learning. CLS Development through Music can benefit groups as small as 10 or 12 participants, and we regularly run workshops for as many as 150. Our musicians have been extensively trained by organisations including Coracle and The Work Foundation, and are not only performers of the highest calibre but also expert facilitators.
"The feedback we received was incredible, everyone was still talking about it the next day and the ratings the delegates gave on our feedback forms was unanimously 5 out of 5."
Sam Howes, Merryck &Co.
