SHAPING THE FUTURE
To mark our 40th anniversary, we are launching the Shaping the Future campaign to help grow and expand the vital work that we do in the concert hall, the opera house, the recording studio, in schools, hospitals, care homes and prisons, both in the UK and abroad.
GOALS
Our vision is to be a leader among British orchestras in the 21st century, through our innovative programming and performances and transformational education and community work. We have set ourselves four goals to help us achieve this:
Distinctive programming
Devising compelling programmes that enrich the artistic experience of all with whom we engage
Social responsibility
Bringing the inspiration and joy of live music into the heart of new communities
Innovation and experimentation
Making our performances unquestionably different through new formats and new commissions
Growing the family
Removing barriers between Orchestra and audiences to build a greater sense of family, warmth and friendliness
TARGET
In order to make our vision a reality we need to:
- raise £1.8 million over three years
- secure the Orchestra's long term financial sustainability
